The Doctor in Dreamland

The first peek at the Doctor as he appears in the animated Dreamland six-part animated adventure to be broadcast this Autumn on the BBC Red Button and Doctor Who website. It stars David Tennant voicing the 10th Doctor, with Georgia Moffat, and David Warner.

I'm not really a fan of the way this animation looks. The Doctor looks a little like Woody from 'Toy Story' - like a marionette. I'd prefer the flash looking animation from 'The Infinite Quest.'

If anything I prefer this to the infinite quest... I really really don't like the look of flash animation, this is much better

Listen I really hate that he is going but I will take anything to extend his term as the Doctor!
the opposite. GO ALREADY!!!!!
The judge asked me why I think if has Tennant in it, it might be good or MIGHT be bad and I produced these:
Exhibit one: INFINITE QUEST
Exhibit two: PLANET OF THE DEAD
Exhibit three: NEXT DOCTOR
Exhibit four: THE STOLEN EARTH/JOURNEY'S END
Exhibit five: SOUND OF DRUMS/LAST OF THE TIME LORDS
Exhibit six: VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED
Exhibit seven: TIME CRASH
Exhibit eight: EVOLUTION OF THE DALEKS/DALEKS IN MANHATTAN
Exhibit nine: RUNAWAY BRIDE
Exhibit ten: PARTNERS IN CRIME
Exhibit eleven: NEW EARTH
I have to say I was quite surprised that the artwork for the animated Dreamland is different than what we seen before with the Infinite Quest. I just assumed it was the going to be same style. I am surprised that it is as detailed as it is (shadows and highlights on the face and clothing of the characters).
Although it was surprising at first, I can say it was a pleasant surprise. It's not cartoonish (i.e. Charlie Brown (not that there is anything wrong with 'big foot' style cartoons, I just don't think it is appropriate for Doctor Who). I will wait and see it before judging it further.
So unless this is just a more elaborate illustration and not exactly how the final animation will look, I am surprised that it is as detailed as it is from what we see here.
I can see what Eric is saying and he does look a bit like Woody from Toy Story. That could just be that the 10th Doctor is a bit slender and 'dangley', let's see how the other characters look.
Cheers,
Louis
