Happy New Year, Happy New Who!

This is a quick note to wish all of our listeners of Doctor Who: Podshock a very happy and healthy new year. The past year has been a very trying time recovering from a devastating storm that was Superstorm Sandy. Getting Back on Feet After Sandy Devastation

Many have been asking about Doctor Who: Podshock and our other ATP shows in the wake of the devastation left by Superstorm Sandy. Recovery continues though our shows should be resuming shortly. I posted this latest blog entry about it. See the link below.

Getting Back on Feet After Sandy Devastation -

After Hurricane Sandy at Barnum Island, NY

Sandy Aftermath Day 338: It's been "a year from hell" recovering and restoring from the mass devastation which Superstorm Sandy caused. There's still a great deal more to do, though it's getting closer to where a sense of "normality" will prevail while ongoing recovery work continues. This means our shows will be resuming shortly including Doctor Who: Podshock and perhaps a new one or two as well.

Knocked Out By Sandy

Thanks for all the concern expressed by all of our listeners... We will return once we are back up and running after the major set back caused by Hurricane Sandy...

Knocked Out By Sandy -

Wrath of Sandy

On October 29, 2012 we were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. In addition to not having power, heat, phones, net, etc. for almost two weeks, we were flooded with sewage water. Three and half weeks later, we are still expelling destroyed waterlogged stuff and trapped water from the premises.

A New Sonic Newsdriver is Available and New Doctor Who: Podshock Episodes are Coming!

Shhh… I'm recording.

For those that follow me on Twitter probably know I had been fighting off some nasty bug shortly after the GE anniversary event, then came the Thanksgiving Day holiday here in the US... Long story short, it delayed production of all shows coming from ATP including Doctor Who: Podshock of course. Fear not though, there will be new episodes coming down the vortex soon starting with a DWP Extra show for supporting subscribers. We will try to step up production to catch up on the last couple weeks.

First up is a new episode of The Sonic Newsdriver. Available on The Sonic Newsdriver feed and on the Sonic Newsdriver Podcast App for the iPhone / iPod touch. See details below.

A Grand Celebration of 5 Years of Doctor Who: Podshock

This past Saturday, the 21st of August 2010 was not only our seasonal meet up on Second Life, it also marked the 5th anniversary of the Doctor Who podcast, Doctor Who: Podshock. (We used our last meet up last May to mark the 25th anniversary of the Gallifreyan Embassy).

People from all corners of the world came together to have fun and to meet Doctor Who: Podshock hosts, correspondents, supporters, and other Doctor Who fans. As usual, Victor led the much anticipated TARDIS tours, a staple of our meet ups on Second Life in which he takes a TARDIS load of people to other Doctor Who themed areas of Second Life. This time, he even allowed me to pilot a Jon Pertwee style TARDIS for one trip. It was very exciting indeed.

The TARDIS Tours took us to Who Island which had a replica of Stonehenge with 'underhenge' which we discovered the Pandorica (and it opened)! We also got to see the console room seen in this year's 'The Lodger' episode and as always the tour concluded in the Doctor Who Museum. The virtual museum chronicles all of Doctor Who throughout its long history.

Doctor Who: Podshock - Episode 218

"We're always in trouble! Isn't this extraordinary… it follows us everywhere!"

Doctor Who: Podshock - Episode 218

We interview the legendary first ever director of Doctor Who, Waris Hussein. West Coast Correspondents Joshua Lou Friedmen and Amy Krell join us for this historic interview in which we discuss An Unearthly Child and Marco Polo as well as how Doctor Who of old compares to new. Plus Matt Smith puts on southern American accents in Doctor Who: The Runaway Train, and more!

Hosted by Louis Trapani, Ken Deep, Joshua Lou Friedman, and Amy Krell.
