After having to postpone our regular meet up last February due to scheduling conflicts, we received many inquires on when the next one would take place. It's here! We are back on schedule with our May meet up. Fans of Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures and alike are coming together once again for the legendary Doctor Who: Podshock seasonal meet up on Second Life. It is all happening on Saturday, the 19th of May 2012.
Doctor Who: Podshock - Episode 261
Running Time: 1:25:04
Our special panel discussion on the many possibilities of a Doctor Who theatrical movie. Recorded live at our November meet up with a stellar line up of panelists consisting of Graeme Sheridan, Dave Cooper, Victor 1st Mornington (Doctor Who Exposition & Katrina), Dave Lewis (TARDIS Newsroom & Paradox Island), Mike Rall (Who Island), and Saffia Widdershins (Prim Perfect Magazine), hosted by Louis Trapani.
A new tradition to our seasonal meet ups on Second Life now are our live panel recordings. The panels are made up of people from our show as well as prominent people in the Doctor Who online community. They are recorded for inclusion in upcoming episodes of Doctor Who: Podshock.
As we were deciding on this panel's topic, news broke concerning the development of a Doctor Who movie. It became readily obvious to us what the topic would be this time.
The panel for this Saturday's meet up is once again a stellar line up consisting of familiar names to long time listeners to our show. The panelist are Graeme Sheridan, Dave Cooper, Victor 1st Mornington (Doctor Who Exposition & Katrina), Dave Lewis (TARDIS Newsroom & Paradox Island), Mike Rall (Who Island), and possibly Saffia Widdershins (Prim Perfect Magazine) (still unconfirmed), hosted by Louis Trapani.

Keeping with the theme of Gallifrey One's Catch 22: Islands of Mystery, our Post Gallifrey One Party which was our Doctor Who: Podshock and Gallifreyan Embassy seasonal meet up and party on Second Life taking place the following Sunday (27 February 2011) after Gallifrey One had a tiki feel to it. Victor Mornington @vic1st and his fellow owners of the land of Katrina (The Doctor Who Experience, which has recently changed its name the Doctor Who: Exposition) out did themselves once again flooding the area, making it a huge pool of water complete with inflatables to cruise on for the stage area of our party. The stage and dance floor were on a giant deck.
Traditionally our meet ups start with TARDIS tours across various Doctor Who themed areas of Second Life led by Victor. This time we did things a bit different. Instead we had a Podshock TARIDS Mod Exposition taking place in that time period. I had the pleasure and honour of being one of the judges for it along with our own DWP Correspondent Ian Bisset @The6thDoctor and the owner of Hands of Omega (one of the leading TARDIS simulator providers in Second Life), Sen Pixie. Together we explored various TARDIS console mods along with the rest of their interior and chose the best within three categories.
Sunday, February 27th may be the week after Gallifrey One's Catch 22: Islands of Mystery, but we shouldn't let the party end there. Join us as once again we invade Second Life with scarves, bow ties, fezzes and all at our seasonal Doctor Who: Podshock meet up.
If you went to Gallifrey One this year, you are invited to continue the fun no matter where you live from the comfort of your home. If you couldn't attend Gallifrey One, you are welcome to get a little taste of the party atmosphere as we celebrate our favourite Time Lord in this virtual world. If you couldn't be our Doctor Who: Podshock Meet & Greet at Gallifrey One this year, now you have another chance to meet up.

It is with sadness that I am once again talking about the passing of another listener and friend of Doctor Who: Podshock. It was only this past June in which we dedicated Doctor Who: Podshock 207 to the memory of Alexei Kondratiev who had passed away unexpectedly a couple weeks after attending our live show in NYC in May. Today to my surprise and shock I learned of another passing. I didn't know him that well as I have only communicated with him via Twitter and on Second Life. His name is David Jennings, but you may know him as @AdricAntfarm — the name he used on Twitter (and Second Life). In fact he was a regular at our Doctor Who: Podshock meet ups and I was just tweeting with him as recently as last week.
The most recent and last posting on his blog by a good friend of his, Amalia Broom had broken the news today:
"Our lives are different to anybody else's. That's the exciting thing, that nobody in the universe can do what we're doing."
