The Idea is that snippets and trailers are to be released on a regular basis, the official line is this:

"BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, will be launching a Classic Doctor Who channel on YouTube on 4th January.

The new channel, featuring a mixture of classic clips and exclusive previews from forthcoming Doctor Who DVD releases, will appeal to existing fans and give new viewers an opportunity to sample some classic Doctor Who. The channel will complement the Classic Doctor Who Twitter account @classicdw run by 2entertain. 

This will bring a tear to your eye, one way or another.

Coming soon to the the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time. Take a look at a demo of it being played on an iPad.

This is like someone getting peanut butter in my chocolate, or something like that (actually, I am not too keen mixing the two). This video marries two of my favourite pastimes, Star Wars and Doctor Who. It doesn't make much sense, but it is fun and interesting to look at, that much is certain. Ha! You have to love Amy Pond in it. Outstanding production values for a parody project like this… Thanks to @steven3x for the heads up on it.

If you watched The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson a couple weeks ago with special guest, Matt Smith, you would know that they prepared a song that in the end they could not transmit on the show due to not having the clearances. That didn't stop Craig Ferguson from suggesting or hinting that someone should put it up on YouTube… Here's the "musical extravaganza that never made the show."

Watch the latest teaser 'trailer' video for series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures coming to the CBBC next week (11 October 2010). Along with Elisabeth Sladen and the regular cast members, you will see Matt Smith as the Doctor in it as well in this promo video.

This for some reason did not get as much news coverage as one would had thought. From all indications, there was a regeneration at 10 Downing Street right in the middle of an interview being recorded.

Watch a promo video for Doctor Who Live. It features Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor (note, Smith is not appearing in the live show himself, only via prerecorded video projected on screen presumably similar to what you see here). The other footage obviously comes from the recent Doctor Who Proms music event.

We had the pleasure of meeting Karen Gillan (Amy Pond in Doctor Who) this past April (2010) covering the event for Doctor Who: Podshock. Although we were there chiefly to record audio and shot still photos, we did manage to capture some short video of the red carpet interviews (thanks to the iPhone 3GS). This is one.
