This video reports on BFI's screening of the two missing Doctor Who from Galaxy Four and The Underwater Menace recently discovered.

It is the season of giving and for Doctor Who fans such as ourselves, we have been given a wonderful gift, news of two previously missing episodes which have been recovered! Two classic episodes from the 1960s include one from the William Hartnell era, Episode 3 of Galaxy 4 and from the Patrick Troughton era, Episode 2 of The Underwater Menace were found.

Both were in the collection of one Terry Burnett who had purchased them in the early 1980s and was not aware he had them.

Until now, all four episodes of Galaxy 4 were considered lost. The recovered The Underwater Menace episode originates from Australia's ABC channel which had been censored for broadcast there. The missing bits will be restored to the episode via scans made of them from the National Archives of Australia.

Expect information about a forthcoming DVD release from 2 Entertain sometime in 2012.

There are still missing episodes... Are you a film collector? Please what are you waiting for, check your attic and crawl spaces! What exactly is in that film canister you bought decades ago stored away somewhere? We have to find these lost treasures.

Frazer Hines brings his one man show "The Time Traveling Scot" to The Producer's Club Grand Theatre in Manhattan on Friday July 8th 2011. There will also be a short Q&A hosted by Ken Deep from Doctor Who: Poshock and an autograph session with Frazer. Mervyn Haisman, has died of heart failure aged 82. He with co-creator, Henry Lincoln, was responsible for the creation of the Yeti and the Quarks in the Patrick Troughton stories, The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear in Season 5. Plus The Dominators in Season 6. He also worked on Doctor Findlay's casebook, The Onedin LIne as well as Howards way, all for the BBC. He was also responsible for scripting Hammer Horror's, The Curse of the Crimson Altar.

So after watching this DVD a couple of times a quick review.  Of course I should be the one to tell you about this release, Patrick Troughton's 2nd Doctor being my favourite Doctor despite being born in the Time of Pertwee.  This Story see's the Doctor land the Tardis on the Planet of Dulkis for a Vacation, on an Island that the Doctor has forgotten to check for Radiation.  Meanwhile the Dominators have landed on the Island and are preparing a site for drilling supported by the Robotic Quarks.

It was a quarter of century ago today, as hard as it is for me believe, is when the Gallifreyan Embassy began. Unbeknownst at the time, it was the day after the Discovery Channel was launched. It was also the day after the launch of the space shuttle Discovery (STS-51-G) which marked the first Arab and Muslim in space (payload specialist Sultan bin Salman bin Adulaziz Al Saud). Yes, it was 1985. Ronald Reagan was in the White House, Commodore launches the Amiga personal computer while NeXT is founded by Steve Jobs after leaving Apple Computer.

Just two weeks before we went Back to the Future in the theaters, the Gallifreyan Embassy of Long Island officially began.

Today would have been Patrick Troughton's 90th Birthday, But still I say Happy Birthday Patrick.  Gone but most definately not forgotton.

Review of the first Patrick Troughton story, Power of the Daleks, news, Mike Doran joins us for a Who Party 14 Toronto Report, and feedback including a review of Prisoner of the Daleks by Dave (Skaroth), and feedback (Jordan, Steve Lee, Samantha (Romana II), and Companion2B (Sarah)).

The Daily Mirror is reporting that all eleven Doctors will be coming together for a special one-off special for Children in Need this November. It reports that the 15 minute episode will be included in BBC1 annual Children In Need appeal in November and shooting of it will begin in September.

This is not the first time a rumour of this nature appeared in the tabloids. The same thing was said to be happening last year for Children in Need except with 10 Doctors which did not happen.

The article states that "images from their original shows, stretching from 1966 to 1974" will be used for the actors William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee who have since passed away. They will make cameo appearances through footage from these previous episodes.
