Producer John Nathan-Turner addressing a crowd of fans while in New York. He had been in the WLIW studios the day before on Long Island, and the next day he was in Manhattan for a convention taking place in March 1985.
We interviewed JNT on several occasions, listen to one of our first in Doctor Who: Podshock 168 (Extra).

|Event:||Doctor Who: Podshock at The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who Book Launch Event in NYC|
|When:||Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 7pm EDT|
|Where:||Fiddlesticks Pub & Grill
56 Greenwich Ave., New York, NY
As previously reported, there are several New York events (and one in London) relating to the release of the book, The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who (available now on Amazon US) (see Two of Four NY Events Scheduled for the Book, The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who) we are now excited to announce another at 7pm on Thursday, the 20th of May at The Way Station (note new location) Fiddlesticks. We are especially excited about this particular event because Doctor Who: Podshock will be joining editor/contributors Anthony S Burdge, Jessica Burke, Kristine Larsen along with fact checker/contributor Barnaby Edwards (of DWNY, Who York, and who maintains a blog here with us), and contributor Melody Green.
You can hear Anthony S Burdge report on the recent East Village Cinema event with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Steven Moffat attending recently on Doctor Who: Podshock 192 and Doctor Who: Podshock 193 as well as with Jessica Burke on our recent live shows reviewing new episodes of Doctor Who.
For the first time in more than a decade, Sylvester McCoy (the 7th Doctor from 1987-1989 and the 1996 TV movie) will be appearing at a New York event. On Sunday, the 16th of May 2010, Sylvester returns to New York for a Who York event at Cafe 50 (in Manhattan) starting at 6:30pm.
To our understanding the event is already sold out. Tickets were only $20 each. There may be some available the door, but contact Who York (http://whoyork.com) ahead of time to be sure. In addition, Sylvester will be signing items (yours or one picked up at the event) for $20.
Check out this exclusive video from BBC America of Matt Smith in Thom Bar after the NYC Apple Store event. He talks about his love for rap music, his Broadway dreams, what he thinks about NYC, etc.
"Look at you. Oh you sexy thing! Look at you!"

Plus our "carcast" recorded immediately following the screening at the Paley Center where we give our initial take on the evening's events, meeting Murray Gold, etc..
