If you are like me and do not receive BBC America, you may be pleased to know that their latest Doctor Who related special, The Science of Doctor Who (science in Doctor Who? Who knew?) is available via iTunes for purchase ($2.99).
I haven't seen it yet myself, so I can't comment on the special, though I have heard that not surprisingly it only focuses on post-2005 Doctor Who unfortunately. If you want to find it on iTunes, there's an affiliate link below to it.

Former Doctor Who executive producer and lead writer Russell T Davies who was also responsible for two Doctor Who spin-off series, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures will now be spearheading a new series on CBBC, Aliens Vs Wizards.
This new series consisting of 12 half-hour episodes is being created with Phil Ford who Davies worked with on Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures series. It is set to debut in autumn of this year on CBBC. It is being produced by BBC Wales in association with FrementleMedia.
Traditionally at this time of the year, it is common to look back at the past year before leaping forward into the new year. We'll do one better… actually forty seven better by looking back at the past 48 years of Doctor Who in this timeline infographic. So before you ring in the new year, look back at the past years of your favourite Time Lord in this in-depth overview of the Doctor's adventures through the years on television along with his companions and iconic foes.
Special thanks to James of cabletv.com for allowing us to share this with you.
As of Saturday the 1st of October, Doctor Who Confidential is no more. After six years of coverage of the production of Doctor Who and background information, Confidential comes to an end, but it goes out with a bang, not with a whimper.
As followers of the British Schools Writing Competition should know, Confidential has been following the process and on Saturday it comes to a climax as the finished episode "Death is the Only Answer" is transmitted on Confidential.
So thank you Doctor Who Confidential for all your information, past and present. You shall be missed.
Once again, Craig Ferguson welcomes Doctor Who guests on his US late night chat show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. This coming week we have both Matt Smith and Karen Gillan lined up to appear on his show, but not on the same night. It's Monday night's show for Matt* and Tuesday for Karen… *Maybe. I say maybe because according to the show's CBS website of this week's guests, it has Matt scheduled for Friday at the time of this writing. According to my DVR though, he's on for Monday night's show, so I would advise recording Monday night's show just to play it safe. If Matt is not on it, be sure to set your DVR for Friday. Remember when it comes to setting your DVR, since the show is at 12:35 am, it's after midnight, so techincally, it's the next day. Depending on your DVR, you may need to go Tuesday, July 26th at 12:35 am to find Monday night's show and to Wednesday, July 27th at 12:35am to find Tuesday night's show.
Both are "in town" so to speak -- well at least in CA for San Diego Comic Con taking place now.
