...it'll make more sense. This is without a doubt an episode that comes at you one on more than one level. Often it seems new "Who" has no time for a break in the action and without an occasional breather the story suffers because it isn't being told, just shown. Dave commented along these lines during the review. I have to agree.

Louis and Dave along with the callers that participated in the making of Podshock 256 had me nodding in agreement as I listened. More than once I expressed my agreement out loud. "Spooky Who" is being given a run for its money by "What The Who?" in this episode. I mean there's nothing wrong with multiple stories within a story, where seemingly unrelated scenes are played out in succession by the cast, when the scene you are watching has no relationship or anything in common with the one just before or after it... that's long been a hallmark of Doctor Who because all those story lines converge at some point, it all comes together eventually, but there is something wrong when you have to look beyond the transmitted episode to make sense of what you just watched. That's why The God Complex gets a 3 out of 5 from me. Maybe next time it'll make more sense.

Happy travels!
