Doctor in Distress

With the untimely passing of Michael Jackson today, who had co-wrote "We Are The World" with Lionel Richie, here is a reminder of Doctor Who's "We Are The World" song -- Doctor in Distress. Surely inspired in part by Jackson's We Are The World. A charitable fundraiser song featuring pop artists as well as the then cast members of Doctor Who (including Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Anthony Ainely, and Nicholas Courtney) when the Doctor faced his first long hiatus being off the air for 18 months. The song was released in March 1985. Proceeds went to Cancer Research.

Please, enough of this song & video already. It's totally unbearable!

Yeah I have to agree that it's unbearable and embarassing but thanks Louis for posting it! (?). What I mean is it gives us a real taste of what's it like so that we don't think we're missing something great if we never get to see it! A total low for DW and the DW actors, pathetic and made me want to disassociate myself frm this lame show that would do this. Still, was it charity? I guess that's always good if it really goes to a good cause. SOmetimes others think it was money being made to go to keeping the show on the air. It was all mismanaged.

Truly awful.... but something hilarious about it at the same time.
Here's something hilarious I found on the tube relating to this

It wasn't your fault Romana II. I've been meaning to fix it so you can embed YouTube videos here yourself. I just haven't gotten to it. Thanks for the reminder. In the meanwhile, I fixed your post with it above.
I bought this single when it came out. I saw the video at a convention back in the day but this is the first time since then I had seen it. Amazing what time does. At the time it came out I thought it was pretty cool. Now, I agree with the other posters...it is hard to sit through.
