The Amy opening!
Many of you people have been asking what the the difference between the regular (UK version) and the other versions of the opening for this season were. Well let me explain.
The show starts out with the teaser as usual. The teaser is the part of the story that airs before the title credits to get people interested in the episode.
Next comes the difference. I call it the Amy intro. and here is a link to it:

...then it goes straight into the titles - you can tell where by where the theme music cuts in on the clip.
...and then the story goes on until the commercial break - or at least that's how it is done on BBC America.
So now, you know the difference. Personally, I don't like it but I can understand why it is there. It is there so new viewers to the show can get a quick understanding of the show in a few seconds.

I'm no fan of the Amy intro, but it's not for me. They're trying to bring in new fans -- that's part of the strategy of the shorter window of time between the UK and US showings. It's ten seconds or so, and I can deal with it. I bet it won't be on the DVDs.
