Sylvester McCoy Will Be Back in New York in May
For the first time in more than a decade, Sylvester McCoy (the 7th Doctor from 1987-1989 and the 1996 TV movie) will be appearing at a New York event. On Sunday, the 16th of May 2010, Sylvester returns to New York for a Who York event at Cafe 50 (in Manhattan) starting at 6:30pm.
To our understanding the event is already sold out. Tickets were only $20 each. There may be some available the door, but contact Who York (http://whoyork.com) ahead of time to be sure. In addition, Sylvester will be signing items (yours or one picked up at the event) for $20.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Sylvester most recently in LA at Gallifrey 19 a couple years ago, as well as his last appearance at a New York event in 1999 at I-CON (both interviews can be heard on Doctor Who: Podshock). You won't want to miss this event in the NY area.
Unrelated to Who York, Sylvester McCoy will also be appearing in Seattle, WA at the Science Fiction Museum and Experience Music Project along with co-stars from the 1996 movie, Daphne Ashbrook and Yee Jee Tso* (both of which were on our live show recently in Doctor Who: Podshock 187) for a Bon Voyage Party on May 6th. The Bon Voyage Party is send Sylvester and Daphne off on this year's Sci-Fi Sea Cruise traveling to Alaska. *Due to professional commitments, Yee Jee Tso may not be able to attend.
