The British Green Party are using this little Ad in their Election Campaign.
As I previously Mensioned the DVD Trailers for Revenge of the Cybermen/ Silver Nemesis and the Extra's for The Dominators had gone before the British Film Board of Classificasion.
The Release dates have now been given and the delayed release date for Time and the Rani, which had previously been Scheduled for 1st March this year.
The postman delivered my 11th Doctor This morning so here's my review after a little play with it.
In the closing moments of Saturday's Doctor Who episode "The TIme of Angels" as the Doctor was giving his, "The one thing you never put in a trap" speech. An advert for the next programme, featuring a cartoon of Graham Norton apeared distracting many from the action on screen, and anoying them enough to complain. The BBC promptly apolgised after in thier own words said "thousands of complaints" had been recieved.
This though was not the first time adverts for following shows had blended in at the closing moments of Doctor Who. In 2005 it was Graham Norton who also came up. This is not a new problem as the screen grab from the closing moments of episode 1 of Daleks back in 1963 shows the BBC have been often guilty of this, blending in of adverts for the next programme.
I am a happy very man,
have cleared extras for the DVD release of the Second Doctor story The
This 1968 five-part story has been expected ever since an official promo for the story was leaked to YouTube at the end of last year. The story stars Patrick Troughton as the Doctor along with Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe.
The Overnight Viewing figures are out for the Time of Angels. 6.8 Million watched and that's a combined BBC 1 and BBC HD number as the episode was simulcast. it also managed to grab 36% of the viewing Audience. As it looks there seems to be a steady number of viewers now, and the full figures will be known in 10n days.
The Title of the first of the New Doctor Who Adventure Games for Mac or PC has been anounced as,
City of the Daleks, and will be Available as a free Download from the BBC on 5th June 2010, to that point Phil Ford the Writer had this to say.
Revenge of the Cybermen and Silver Nemesis Have been cleared by the British Board of Film Classification as a Double DVD Trailer. As to when this box set will be realsed is anybody's Guess, and with Two of the most unpopular Cybermen stories of all time, one wonders what sales they will get. But that said it will be in my Pre-order list as soon as it's available, I'm somewhat of a Cyber-collector. "EXCELENT!"
Some Doctor Who news that's not about the New Series.
The Official BBC Doctor Who Website has now a episode section with the 11th Hour that's full fo Extra's.
Graphic artwork, video's not used for the Confidential, a PDF of a Prisoner Zero Wanted Poster and so much more just follow the link at the end of the page. There is only one big but, for the video content you have to live in the UK I'll say no more there than to read the lifehacker website now and again.
So now that the 11th Hour has Aired on British TV, the first points are in.
8.3 million: is the initial number of People who watched Who on the overnights. That's the Overnight figures from the BBC for BBC1 and BBC HD, this does not include DVR recordings for those not able to watch live, or the Number of views on the iPlayer. Though quite interestingly enough, the quality of Video for the Confidential on the BBC iPlayer was Higher than for the actual 11th Hour programme its self.
The 3d Trailer that was released on UK Cinema's showing before Alice In wonderland. Has now managed to find it's way on to YouTube. It can be Watched in all formats up to 1080p, and you require the Chromatek Chromadepth 3D Glasses to enjoy the Trailer. Enjoy.
