Another group reach their 25th Anniversary!

As many of the GE forum readers know I try to highlight the good work done by a local group here in the UK.
Well that group - The Hyde Fundrasiers reach their 25th Anniversary just like the GE this year!
The Charity group uses Doctor Who & other Science Fiction related characters to raise funds for local, national & international charities like Children in Need reach 25.
Cheers, daveac

RTD & his Global Connection
Forgive me if this is being discussed in another forum.
I was watching The End of Time (Part 2) again and all of a sudden it struck me. RTD did it again!! RTD has a fancination for the global connection...
Season 3 Finale: Everyone on Earth thinks the same word... "Doctor".
Season 4 Finale: Every phone on Earth dials Martha's cell number.
The End of Time Part 2: Every person (Master) on Earth listens for the signal.
Wow. He really does like the global connection, huh?
This One Goes to Eleven. On Tap for and Shedding Light on Some Changes for Doctor Who.
Now that the end time has come for David Tennant as the Doctor, or rather, The End of Time, there is a new Doctor in the house, or rather TARDIS… Welcome, Matt Smith.

It is not only a change of Doctors, but with Steven Moffat taking the helm of the series as the new executive producer and lead writer, it is a whole new era for Doctor Who. Expect changes across the board to reflect it.
We have already seen the new logo(s) for the series, the new Doctor debuted in the most recent special, The End of Time, Part 2. Doctor Who Monthly magazine is sporting an updated look, and we expect the same with the BBC Doctor Who website soon as well.

TARDIS Damage?
I originally posted this on my tumblelog: T.O.E. Tumblelog.

What happened to the side of the TARDIS? Doctor Who continues shooting despite the snow fall. Hey, perhaps they could rearrange the episode schedule and shoot the Christmas special now since Cardiff is covered with real snow!

Nic Cage as Everyone - Doctor Who
As the first commenter says, this is just wrong. But it's still pretty cool.

BARROWMAN!! (shakes fist)
For those who have seen the DT hosted Nevermind the Buzzcocks episode, a new sensation is sweeping the web - blaming John Barrowman for everything!
"Got stuck in the snow on the way home - BARRROWMAN!!! (shakes fist)"
For those on Facebook here is a new group for blaming John for all:

Doctor Who Exhibition Announced for Newcastle
The region is bracing itself to be swamped with fans of the Doctor as a massive exhibition of the family show is to be staged in Newcastle.
The event is being held at the Centre for Life and won’t open until May.
However, news of the event is already spreading like wildfire on Doctor Who websites, online forums and across fan clubs. The exhibition hopes to attract thousands of people, young and old, and many have already snapped up their tickets.
Opening on May 22, the interactive display will feature memorabilia including the Time Lord’s biggest enemies, the Daleks and Cybermen.
There will also be Autons, Absorbaloff, Ood and Judoon appearing alongside a wide range of other genuine props and costumes from the hit TV show.
