Audio: Comp Chr: The Pyralis Effect
This starts out like the older SPACE: 1999 ep MISSION OF THE DARIANS only it's not as good as that. We get a bunch of cliches: light aliens, colonists living on spaceships who worship the Doctor as a legendary figure from their past, a scary spaceship (ooooooahhhh), and the Doctor unconscious for half the story (seems to me whenever Lalla Ward does a Comp Chr, the Doctor is sidelined for most of the story, what's with that?), a sacrifice, a murder, a living AI...YAWN.
Added to that are some of the most annoying sound effects...I thought something was wrong as I listened to it in my car...with my car! Added to that Lalla's not my favorite voice book although one of my fav companions...her voice tends to get on my nerves from time to time.

Waters of Mars and Other Specials US Air Dates and DVD/Blu-ray Releases
As previously reported, BBC America has announced its broadcast date for Waters of Mars to be Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 9pm ET/PT, more than a month after the BBC airing. (It is being transmitted on the BBC (UK) on Sunday, 15th of November 2009 at 7pm).
The remaining two specials starring David Tennant will air on BBC America over the holiday season as a two-part special. The air-dates will be announced in early December.
Metebelis 3
I love the reference to Metebilis 3. In the 1990's spin-off Shakedown: Return of the Sontarans, for licencing reasons there could be no mention of the Doctor or Tardis at all, though they did slip in a reference to Metebelis 3 to please the fans.
Now we have Metebilis 3 being mentioned again in a spin-off, this time mentioned at the exact moment the Tardis can be heard materialising, signalling the Doctor's arrival into his very first ever appearance into a spin-off in the shows 46 year history. I think it's all fantastic!
