FAQ:
How can I play AAC files on my non-iPod player? You
can use Apple iTunes to play the AAC files right from your computer
or if you wish to use the AAC files on your portable digital audio
player which does not natively support the AAC format, you can simply
convert the AAC to MP3 within iTunes. First be sure you have your encoding
preferences set for MP3. Do this by going to iTunes preferences, then
go to importing (may be in the "Advanced" section) and be
sure that importing is set for MP3 Encoding. Then go to the track you
want to convert, right-click (or control-click) on the file and choose "Convert
selection to MP3" -- and there you have it. UPDATE: We
have added a MP3
file format podcast feed that will contain MP3 versions
of Doctor Who: Podshock. You no longer need to convert
AAC files to MP3 files. See above for details.
How can I submit an audio comment to the show? Simply
send your short audio comment to our feedback email address or you can use Skype or Gizmo and leave a voice message to Podshock to
be considered for the show. If you don't have the audio equipment to
record an audio comment with your computer, you can simply leave your
audio comment as a voice mail message by calling the Doctor Who: Podshock
phone line: 206-600-6517 (please
note that this is a US phone number,
any toll charges to the 206 area code will apply).
What is an Enhanced Podcast? The Enhanced Podcast
format is a special AAC audio file with chapters that allows listeners
to jump to and from any chapter within a podcast, each chapter can
have a different name and embedded image that can be viewed in iTunes
or an iPod with a colour display, URL links can also be embedded
into each chapter allowing listeners to easily jump to any web page
with a click in iTunes, and finally listeners have the benefit of the
audio quality that comes with AAC format.
Do you have a promo that I can play to promote Doctor Who: Podshock in
my own podcast? Yes... We have a couple, the first one is a bit dated
though, we expect to have some really great new selections soon. Both are
in the MP3 format: Doctor
Who: Podshock Promo (Geoff Smith Mix) and Doctor
Who: Podshock Promo 2 (A Trip of a Lifetime!).
I don't have an iPod, can I still listen to your show? Absolutely! A 'podcast' is essentially just an internet radio show if you will. You don't need an iPod or for that matter any portable digital audio device to listen to our show. You can listen to it on your computer... on anything that can play either a MP3 file or a AAC file. You can even listen to it from the website using the web-base player we have on our site.
How can I show my support? This site and our podcast
are free to use and listen to respectively. Though there are
costs involved in maintaining and producing both. If you like, please
make a donation to help offset these costs and to help ensure that
we can continue to bring you both. Thank you so much.

You heard it here on Doctor Who: Podshock and now you can take it with you where ever you go with shirts and other gear sporting the slogan, "In Russell We Trust" or if you rather have "In Moffat We Trust", or get them both. Many of our listeners and website visitors, took the slogan coined by Ken Deep on our show and made it their own mantra.
Now you can show your support in and for the production of your favourite television show depicting the adventures of a certain traveling Time Lord all while helping support the podcast as well. Two new Cafe Press stores have been set up for both lines. Both slogans are available in various shirts (for men, women, and children) and other gear in various colours and sizes.
