Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the Gallifreyan Embassy. Since this year marks the 44th anniversary of Doctor Who, it means the Gallifreyan Embassy have been around for half that time. Wow!
As we did on our 20th anniversary (see the article: 20 Years Ago...), special thanks goes to all those in our 22 year history that has made the organization what it was, what it is today, and what it will be in years to come.
Who would have thought back in June of 1985 that we would still be doing this more than two decades later, and now on a world-wide scale? Amazing? Mind blowing? Incredible? No... just fantastic!

We have come a long way from printing our monthly newsletter, the Ambassadors of Life using an Atari 800XL 8-bit computer and laying it out by hand... printing it either by large-run photocopiers or off-set printing, which ever was available to us at that given month... to hand sorting it for bulk rate postage to over 300 members back then to today in which this interactive website and podcast has taken the place of the printed newsletter which is now distributed and seen and heard by millions worldwide.
Today we are pleased and excited to continue working with other fan organizations and sites such as Outpost Gallifrey and DWNY (Doctor Who New York) among many others. We are enthused with all of our collaborative efforts throughout our years and eagerly look forward to future relationships.
We have been equally thrilled with all the Doctor Who related guests from the series past and present we had the privilege of interviewing and chatting with throughout our 22 year history. From Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, John Nathan-Turner, etc. to people involved with the series today such as Murray Gold, Paul Cornell, Steve Moffat, and more. Far too many to list them all here. Thanks to them all!
Thank YOU, yes, YOU for making this a treat and a delight... even after more than two decades... it is still for fans by fans. You make it all possible. Both with our website and podcast, Doctor Who: Podshock we encourage your participation and interaction. You have done so and all of us could not be more delighted. Your feedback and contributions to the site and podcast have been outstanding! Thank you. Cheers to you all!
Here's to another 22 years of traveling through time and space following our favourite Time Lord in his blue box.

Louis & Ken: Wouldn't it be great if some of the old newsletters could be digitised and uploaded to the site for us all to have a look at how it was done in the past.
Keep up the great work all,
John aka Liyster from Australia.
